  1. In the closing can Binger add and subtract words from the statements a witness made? Like he did during the trial.
Like AB said, Binger only needs one juror, will 75% of the jury having a negative opinion of KR at the start make this more likely?
It would be nice if the jurors had to explain how they reached the verdict they did.
As far as a second trial and KR’s resources, will KR be allowed to fundraise to raise the funds he will need?

  2. Viewing the televised trial and your blog really emphasizes the importance of good self defense lawyer team. The 3 or 4 seconds of each shooting event are analyzed by others over a year or more. The prosecutors can not even mention provocation in their opening statement and yet base their almost entire case on it based on last minute evidence that just “happened” to be discovered last week. So try not to get into the fight unless your life depends on it. Because it really does. Also, make sure you have insurance for self defense.

  3. I am hoping that in its closing arguement the defense keeps it simple. Just takes the counts one by one and addresses the essential elements of that charge that the state has not disproven. The only way a jury can decide a case of this magnitude is just to simply go through the list of essential elements on each charge and determine if the element is proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Binger isn’t going down the list (watching his cosing arguement right now) because he doesn’t have the facts and law on his side.
