NH CrJI 3.01 ACCIDENT [1985]

Evidence has been presented that the defendant’s acts were accidental. You must find the defendant not guilty if you find that the defendant’s acts were accidental. The State has the burden of proving a reasonable doubt that the defendant did not act accidentally; that is, the State must prove that the defendant acted purposefully/knowingly/recklessly/negligently, which I have already defined for you.
