CHAPTER 400 JUSTIFICATION

400.21 Use of Deadly Force in Making Arrest

Deadly force is only justified in making an arrest when a person cannot be captured in any other way and either (1) the person has used or threatened to use deadly force in committing a felony or (2) the person making the arrest reasonably believes the person would use deadly force against another unless immediately apprehended.
