Well, last night I was a guest on “Their Finest Hour,” a web-based radio program owned and operated by Allan Bourdius. Allan was away on business, and his guest-host, Alex Kaufmann, was kind enough to invite me on. I cautioned Alex that I’m pretty dull, but he threw caution to the wind and had me on, regardless. (“Their Finest Hour” is hosted on Vigilant Liberty Radio.)
Here’s a quick breakdown of the various portions of the ~hour-long broadcast:
0:00 Intro/Alex monologue on Martin Luther King Day
5:00 I’m introduced, describe myself/background
8:10 Discuss retirement of Senator Tom Coburn
16:00 Discuss the false dichotomy of “TEA Party v. Establishment”
19:25 Discuss Paul Ryan budget deal
25:20 Discuss how Liberal enjoy “air superiority” courtesy of MSM
28:00 Mish-mash of political stuff, including trends, Reagan, being right v. winning, gun rights success as a leading indicator of political fortunes
33:00 Glock’s new guns
47:20 Florida “popcorn shooting”
53:35 Marissa Alexander case and Florida’s “warning shot” bill
And here’s the actual audio track (NOTE: the time marks above only work with this audio file, as I edited out some intro/exit/break time from master file):
I thought it came out OK, although I most definitely am not a political pundit (warned you, Alex!).
I have to say, I was pretty pleased with the performance of my fancy Blue Yeti microphone–sound was very clear, although in some ways it was TOO sensitive (I can hear myself typing at one point). Overall, though, much better than the OEM microphone in my MacBook Pro.
OK, folks, I’ve got a sick 2-year-old to attend to. More later. 🙂
