Marissa Alexander Bail Hearing; Ohio May Adopt “Stand-Your-Ground”

Hey folks
There are two big news events expected today in the law of self-defense space.

First, Marissa Alexander’s delayed bail hearing is now scheduled to be held today.  She would seem an unlikely candidate for bail, but stranger things have happened.

Second, an Ohio legislative committee is debating HB-203, the bill proposing the adoption of “Stand-Your-Ground” in the Buckeye state.  The bill also contains a number of other pro-gun owner provisions.

I cover both these  news items–including the full text of HB-203–in a post over at Legal Insurrection:  Marissa Alexander Bail Hearing, Ohio Debates Adopting “Stand-Your-Ground” (Link will be added when post goes live over at Legal Insurrection).

Keep your eyes here for breaking news on both of these throughout the day, including  video (if I can capture some).
