Andrew Branca Interviewed by Glen Evans of Warrior Men blog (Part 1)

Hey folks,
I was recently interviewed via Skype by Glen Evans, a police officer who runs the Warrior Men blog as well as being engaged in a wide variety of other facets of self defense training and knowledge. The interview was, of course, on the law of self-defense, and ran about an hour. Glen just posted the first of 8 or so pieces of that interview up on his Warrior Men blog, so I thought I’d give you all a heads up that it’s available for viewing, if you like.

Incidentally, a couple or three weeks after the interview Glen and his lovely young wife attended one of my Law of Self Defense Seminars I recently held in Ohio, and had the following nice things to say about it:

I just want to say it was one of the best seminars concerning deadly force that I have attended. The greatest take away for me was the necessity to protect the scene of the shooting and to point investigators to potential evidence that can help my case. In spite of the huge amount of stress one feels after a shooting, it is important to keep your wits about you and stay focused on protecting yourself on the legal side of things. . . . My wife commented on how Andrew was able to take complex legal concepts and make them easier to understand in everyday English.

Humorously, I was fully aware that Glen’s interview of me would be recorded and put up on the internet, but for some reason I’d assumed this would be done in audio format. (I’m certain Glen must have told me it would be in video, I’m just not good at keeping those kinds of details in mind.) That’s all by way of explaining that the crazy wall painting you see behind my head is not part of my office decor, but rather the wall of my 2-year-old daughter’s bedroom, where I’d sought some peace and quiet in order to participate in the interview without the bangs and shouts of family life in the background.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video, which is a mere 4:30 minutes long.

Finally, I guess this is as good a time as any to note that Law of Self Defense will soon start producing a periodic series of our own videos on interesting self-defense cases and facets of the law, so you’ll want to keep your eyes open for those, as well.

NOTE: Law of Self Defense Seminar seats are still available for Pensacola, Florida on October 5, and Columbia, South Carolina on October 19. If you’d like an LOSD Seminar scheduled in your area, let me know using the form here: SEMINAR FORM.

“The Law of Self Defense, 2nd Edition,” covers the current state of self-defense law in all 50 states. We’ve heard from many of you, however, that you’d like to dive even deeper into the self-defense law of your particular state–to have on hand the full-text of every self-defense statute, jury instruction, and even the full-text of the most important and controlling self-defense court decisions. Fitting 50-states worth of level of comprehensive detail would result in a book that weighs 500 lbs, which is why we didn’t take that approach in “The Law of Self Defense.” Due to the great demand for this further detail, however, we have begun rolling out a series of State-Specific Supplements that do provide exactly such  comprehensive coverage of each particular state’s self-defense law. Right now these are available on a pre-publication basis at a 38% discount, with delivery of each to occur over the next 2-3 months–pre-publication customers will, as always, receive their books first, with shipment to the general public not beginning until all pre-publication customers have first been sent their books.  To see the five states we are starting with, vote for other states to be covered, or to place your pre-publication order, click here:  State-Specific Supplements.
