This Criminal Law Course?
The mission of the Property: Law and Liberty Course is to provide a thorough understanding of property law as it is taught in law school, but at a fraction of the time and cost of what law school costs today, and without the political correctness, critical race theory, or “diversity, inclusion, and equity” cultism that has so thoroughly infected modern law schools. We just do law, as traditionally taught, period.
This Property: Law and Liberty Course is taught by Attorney Andrew Esquire, and streamed directly to your computer, tablet, or smartphone, with each course module provided live each Tuesday at 6 PM Eastern time (and a recording of each module made available for those with scheduling conflicts).
Whether you're just fascinated by the law and want a deeper understanding of this fundamental right and how it is interpreted in our courts, or want to dip your toe into the world of legal education before committing yourself to 3 years of law school and perhaps hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans, this class will give you a thorough legal understanding of the law as it relates to private property as it is taught in 1L (first-year) law school.
Important: the Principles: Law and Liberty Course is not accredited by any academic organization, but does provide for a final exam-based certification issued by LOSD LLC.

Here you take your first giants leaps into understanding the inner workings of the legal system on a criminal level.

In this learning block we’ll discuss our Fourth Amendment's Search and Seizure laws, the three levels of citizen-police interactions, and some important case laws surrounding those interactions.
In this learning block we’ll introduce you to your 5th Amendment right to remain silent, and how that has changed from the dawn of our country to Miranda and beyond.
This is where we discuss your constitutional right to counsel, what that means, what that doesn't mean, and when a lawyer isn't required at all.
Here we will discuss property crimes including theft/larceny, burglary, fraud, embezzlement and possession crimes
Here we will discuss other crimes committed other than Homicide against another individual, such as Assault / Aggravated Assault, Battery / Aggravated Battery, Robbery, Rape, Kidnapping, Unlawful Citizen's Arrest, and Extortion / Blackmail.
Murder. Homicide. What's the difference? You will learn about all the different ways one may legally or illegally kill another human being and what that means to an individual's future in the criminal justice system.
Little in criminal law has been debated more hotly than the Death Penalty and, as such, it requires considerable effort to both understand when we are allowed in this country to do so, and why.
Here we discuss crimes that are planned or attempted but not fully completed. How do we properly prove, prosecute, and punish these so-called "inchoate" offenses? We'll discuss how and why such conduct is illegal, as well as mitigating factors such as solicitation and impossibility.
We'll also discuss accomplices, how they may help in the criminal act or evasion after the fact by the criminal after the act, particularly in the context of the Principal's Act (Mens Rea), the results & circumstances of the act (Mens Rea), Actus Reus again, and the liabilities of the various parties.
Conspirators are all culpable on various levels for a crime. Here we explore the Actus Resu, Mens Rea, and liability of actors in the conspiracy as well as what happens if a conspirator withdraws. We'll end with the various punishments resulting from conspiracy.
Sometimes an otherwise criminal act may be legally justified or excused. In this module, we'll discuss various justifications including self-defense, defense of others, defense of property, and the necessity defense. We'll also discuss when we have chosen to excuse a defendant from culpability for the crime, even absent real justification, including duress, coercion, intoxication, and insanity.
The Scientific method has been put to good use in a number of fields, to the benefit of society generally, and the same is true for criminal law. But not all science is good science, and "bad science" has infiltrated the legal profession thoroughly. Here we will learn how it has done so, its detrimental effect, how to separate it from the good science, and how we can best combat its ill effect.
Too bad. You've just been declared guilty. Now what? That depends on the crime you are guilty of committing, the relative flexibility provided the judge, to what of five purposes the sentence is designed to satisfy, and what mitigating and aggravating circumstances apply.
Our criminal law system is imperfect. Learn what special problems arise from our method of justice and how to prevent those problems from impacting your case.
We'll finish off the class with an exam that will take approximately one hour to complete and can be done at any time during the final week. Once passed you will receive a certificate of completion for the course!
