Level 1 LIVEONLINE 2017-10-18T17:51:24+00:00

Our newly-launched LEVEL 1 LIVE ONLINE CLASSES cover the same legal principles of our full-day live in-person travel classes held all over the country, but are delivered in a streamed, online format.  These LIVE ONLINE classes are NOT A RECORDING, but are presented LIVE by Attorney Andrew Branca, and they provide ample opportunity for Q&A.

The advantage of the LIVE ONLINE class is that you don’t have to travel to some specific location for the class, you can participate from the convenience of your desktop, laptop, tablet, or even your smartphone.  Also, because we don’t incur the enormous travel expenses that a travel class requires, we can offer these at half the price of our live classes:  only $99.99 for our LIVE ONLINE classes, versus $199.99 for our in-person travel classes.  Even better, your registration for your LIVE ONLINE class includes yourself, your spouse, and any of your minor children, all for the single low price of $99.99.

In addition, if you are a prior student of a Law of Self Defense LEVEL 1 Class–either a live in-person class, an online class, or a DVD class–you can participate in a LIVE ONLINE class at half price, just $49.99.  (For details on this contact us at support@lawofselfdefense.comMay not be combined with other discounts.)

We do limit participation in any given LIVE ONLINE CLASS to no more than 20 students, and they sell out quickly, so if you’re interested in participating be sure to lock in your seat TODAY!

OCTOBER 28, 2017
NOVEMBER 11, 2017
DECEMBER 2, 2017

Over the course of ~6 hours, and at a fraction of the cost of a one-on-one legal consult, you will learn how to build a self-defense strategy that will:

  • Prepare you to win both the physical AND legal battles.
  • Help you say the right thing to 911, first responders, and investigative officers
  • Thoroughly explain your state’s laws and how they’re applied in court to actual people.
  • Teach you the most common legal vulnerabilities.
  • Give you confidence to defending others, and account for the strict limits on defending property.
  • Explain what “Stand-Your-Ground,” the “Castle Doctrine,” “Presumptions of Reasonableness” and “Self-defense Immunity” REALLY mean . . . and what they DO NOT mean.

This class is designed to engage students with scenario-driven applications of the law. It is customized to your state’s statutes, court decisions, and jury instructions. Participants will know the law in a practical and actionable way to situations that arise in their daily lives. All participants will receive a certificate of completion of the class and have the option to obtain a printed copy of the ~400 presentation slides.

9AM – 10AM

Covers the entire criminal justice pipeline from interacting with officers, through arrest, “your one phone call,” investigation, charges and sentences they carry, plea bargaining, pre-trial, trial, jury instructions, verdict, and appeals. Lays out all the pieces of the “machine” through which you may be fed if you use force in self-defense.

10AM – 12PM

The fundamental principles of Innocence, Imminence, Proportionality, Avoidance and Reasonableness are introduced and discussed according to your state’s requirements.

1PM – 2PM

Learn how to defend others and property legally and safely.  Each state’s laws in this area are enormously complicated and varied.  Don’t misunderstand how your state applies these rules!

2PM – 3PM

Conduct after the event can strengthen or undermine a self-defense claim.  We cover what to say, and not say, to the 911 dispatcher, responding officers, and investigative officers in the aftermath of a defensive encounter.

3PM – 4PM

Covers the five key tactics to build a legally sound self-defense strategy that enables your lawyer to make a compelling narrative of innocence and maximize your chances of freedom.

Taking Andrew Branca’s Law of Self Defense Class would be not only a good idea, but an EXCELLENT idea. I’ve known him for many years. He’s one of my graduates, and more to the point, he’s an attorney who focuses on this kind of issue with a passion. I thought his reportage from the courtroom in the Zimmerman case was the gold standard. By all means, take his course.”

I found [Andrew’s] book very useful and informative, but I found the class to be even more so. Partially because of the very specific, knowledgeable discussion of the law in my area, and also because of seeing the impact the presentation was having on the other students. There were moments during the presentation when you could feel the air getting sucked out of the room as Andrew laid out some unpleasant truths about interaction with the legal system. This was obviously new information to many in the room and the looks on their faces told the story of preconceived notions being blown to kingdom come.

As a retired law enforcement officer, a life-long firearms trainer, and a practicing attorney, Andrew’s lecture in Odenton, Maryland on June 28, 2015 was both timely and well-presented. Discussions with other attendees after class told me that all were deeply impressed.

The class was extremely valuable to us. Everyone who carries a gun should be in this class, it can save you a lot of problems later.
