VA VUJI §62:1 Justifiable homicide.

VA VUJI §62:1 Justifiable homicide.

State: Virginia

If you believe from the evidence that the defendant at the time of the shooting was without fault on his part and was being attacked by the deceased, and further that he reasonably feared death or serious bodily harm to himself at the hands of the deceased, then he had the right to stand his ground and, if necessary, kill his assailant. If you further believe this to be the situation in the instant case, you shall find the defendant not guilty.
