NEWS: Law of Self Defense Seminar, Atlanta GA, Nov. 16 @ Adventure Outdoors

Hey folks,

Adventure Outdoors has begun putting the press out on my next Law of Self Defense Seminar held at their place in Atlanta, GA a week from today, November 16.

Basically, the LOSD Seminars are a 4-hour intensive review of the self-defense laws of the state where the seminar is held, illustrated by the actual statutes, jury instructions and most important court decisions from that state.  About 25 of the four hours is devoted to Q&A with the audience and exploring how the law of self-defense might apply in various self-defense scenarios.

If you would like more information about Law of Self Defense Seminars in general, or more information about this event in particular to register, simply visit the Law of Self Defense Seminar page.

I look forward to seeing a bunch of the Atlanta-area LOSD fans there–and if you have copies of “The Law of Self-Defense, 2nd Edition,” bring ’em, I’ll be glad to sign them.

NEWS: Law of Self Defense Seminar, Atlanta, GA: November 16

Hey folks,

We’re now just 10 days or so away from the Law of Self Defense Seminar being held by Adventure Outdoors in Atlanta GA on November 16, and I’m shocked–SHOCKED!–that not all 100 million+ American gun owners have registered.  🙂

In all seriousness, the Adventure Outdoors meeting hall is ridiculously oversized for one of my seminars, so we still have seats available for that event.

Law of Self Defense Seminars  show how the law of self-defense is applied in real court cases involving real people, in real conflicts.  In addition, the seminar is structured to engage attendees with scenario-driven applications of the legal principles governing the law of self-defense.   Naturally, this seminar is customized to the self-defense law of Georgia.

In addition, the extensive Q&A portions of the seminar provide a unique opportunity for an in-depth exploration issues of self-defense law that are of particular interest to you, and that might otherwise not be thoroughly covered in a more general book.

You’ll leave the seminar armed with the legal knowledge and analytical tools necessary to apply the law of self-defense in a practical and actionable way to situations that could arise in your daily life.

You’ll also receive a copy of the presentation slide deck, a certificate of completion for the seminar, as well as a complementary copy of “The Law of Self Defense, 2nd Edition.”

I’ve run these seminars in a whole bunch of states now, and they’ve been gratifyingly well-received.

I hope you can join us.  For more details about or to register for the Atlanta seminar, click here.

Also, if you like our work here at the Law of Self Defense it would be awesome if you could help us get the word out about this Atlanta seminar by sharing this post on your own blogs and with friends, “Liking” our Facebook page and our mention of the Atlanta seminar there in particular, and any other way that comes to mind.

Thanks!

Toledo Free Press: Attorney discusses self-defense, ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws

Reporter Jay Hathaway of the Toledo Free Press interviewed me a week or so ago, and did a nice write-up of “The Law of Self Defense” book, seminars, and even yours truly.  I thought they did a good job of capturing some complex information in a nice concise way.  You can read the article on the Toledo Free Press site here:

STATE-SPECIFIC SUPPLEMENTS NOW AVAILABLE AT PRE-PUBLICATION DISCOUNT (38% OFF)

“The Law of Self Defense, 2nd Edition,” covers the current state of self-defense law in all 50 states. We’ve heard from many of you, however, that you’d like to dive even deeper into the self-defense law of your particular state–to have on hand the full-text of every self-defense statute, jury instruction, and even the full-text of the most important and controlling self-defense court decisions. Fitting 50-states worth of level of comprehensive detail would result in a book that weighs 500 lbs, which is why we didn’t take that approach in “The Law of Self Defense.” Due to the great demand for this further detail, however, we have begun rolling out a series of State-Specific Supplements that do provide exactly such  comprehensive coverage of each particular state’s self-defense law. Right now these are available on a pre-publication basis at a 38% discount, with delivery of each to occur over the next 2-3 months–pre-publication customers will, as always, receive their books first, with shipment to the general public not beginning until all pre-publication customers have first been sent their books.  To see the five states we are starting with, vote for other states to be covered, or to place your pre-publication order, click here:  State-Specific Supplements.
